Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn
Jupiter and Saturn, 26. December 2020, 17h 48min, Dietisberg, Wünnewil, Fribourg, Switzerland.
The ideal day, with the two planets closest to each other, was on 21. December - but, unfortunately, it was cloudy. The first clear day was the 26. December when the two planets were still close, but already noticeably apart. This is shown on the picture on the right.
Taken with a mild telephoto lens (82 mm Equivalent), view in the South-West direction.

Jupiter and Saturn with moons
Right: Overexposed picture, to visualize Saturn's moon Titan.
Below: Strongly enlarged picture of Jupiter, showing red lower edge and greenish upper edge. This is due to the atmosphere acting as a prism for objects close to the horizon (like the Green Ray of the sun).
